That’s why we were proud to sponsor the 16th Annual Northfield Earth Day Celebration hosted by NACS on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at Armory Square. This event was a cherished tradition, bringing together community members, organizations, and local businesses to honor our planet.
About NACS
The Northfield Area Community Solar (NACS) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to expanding access to renewable energy solutions. Their mission has been to empower residents with clean energy options, contributing to a greener and more resilient community. By supporting local solar projects, NACS has helped make it easier for Northfield residents to lower their energy costs while reducing their carbon footprint.
A Day Dedicated to Sustainability and Community
The Earth Day Celebration, led entirely by dedicated volunteers, featured a wide array of workshops, eco-friendly exhibitors, market vendors, electric vehicles, and family-friendly activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event kicked off on Friday evening, April 25th, with a lively contra dance. This year’s event was a huge success, drawing over 250 visitors, 19 market vendors, and 30 earth-friendly exhibitors.
This celebration wouldn’t have been possible without the generous sponsorships from area businesses, and we were proud to support NACS in making this year’s event even bigger and better.
Making an Impact Together
As part of our commitment to giving back, we launched a special initiative: For every new subscription through NACS, Join Solar donated $100 to the local food bank. This partnership supported the Community Action Center’s Food Access Program, which provides food support to local families and individuals in need. The Community Action Center (CAC) operates a comprehensive food access program, which includes a food shelf, mobile food distributions, and community meals, ensuring that everyone in the community has access to healthy and nutritious food. By signing up for community solar, attendees not only contributed to sustainable energy but also helped put food on the table for those who need it most.
One of our team members also represented us at the event, hosting a booth where they met many community members and shared valuable information about Novel Energy Solutions and Join Solar. It was inspiring to see so many people passionate about sustainability and eager to learn more about how they could make a difference.

We were grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful event and to contribute to fostering community involvement.
