The Western Minnesota Community Solar garden is located in Cottonwood, Minnesota. When it is complete in the Spring of 2021, Xcel customers in Lyon, Lincoln, Yellow Medicine, Redwood, Pipestone, and Murray counties can subscribe to 1.24 Megawatts of solar energy. That’s enough renewable energy to power 150 homes.
Developed by Novel Energy Solutions, working with Xcel Energy, membership to this solar garden is offered exclusively to Xcel Energy customers. Your membership in the community solar garden supports renewable energy in your community and lowers your utility bills. That’s a win-win for you and the earth.
